Feet Up! Big Day!
Went to the Bentonville Farmer's Market this morning and bought lots of fresh vegetables, corn, cabbage, cucumbers, spinach and tomatoes. We will have a great dinner tonight! After the market,
I met an old friend for lunch. . We had long visit catching up (hadn't seen her in years!) Then we went prowling for rocking chairs for her front porch. We didn't find rocking chairs, but we had fun anyway!
We visited several flea markets! After a few minutes rest, COOKING time! How about those blue toenails!

Bathroom and other stuff
Top picture of some of my yard sale bargains! As you can tell, the bathroom is decorated in black and white ( at least for this week!) I might find new stuff on the next prowl and re-do the whole thing! My favorite soap is laying waiting for my next bath. Zum Soap Bars! My daughter gave me some of their products on Mother's Day. If you haven't tried them, go find them! Check the health food store. They come in different scents and they are all wonderful! The company makes other products too! Zum Rub, good for everything, hands, feet, elbows, lips, cuts and scratches! It comes in wonderful scents. Made with essential oils. Throw the rub in your purse and you're good for anything that comes up! Wonderful Things!

Prowling Today!
Found a cute shop in Fayetteville! Vintage Violets! It's like stepping into your Mother's or Grandmother's closet in the 50's or 60's. She has clothes, jewelry and even lingerie! It was fun to prowl! I don't dress vintage, but for those who do, it is worth the visit! If you don't like vintage fashion, it is still fun to just prowl!

Red/Orange Mirror
Remember the old spanish style dressers that had 2 mirrors attached.....ugly! I found one of the mirrors at a thrift store and painted it reddish orange! Love It!~ It is in my entrance hall. My house is constantly in transition. I have re-decorated it several times. It is a small house and I only have so much room to put stuff... so I move stuff around a lot! Don puts up with me...he really doesn't like me to move things. He wants me happy, thank goodness! And he knows that I am not happy unless I'm decorating something. I have to have a project. I really don't like the color orange, but the hallway needed some color. By the way, we are living in a leased house until we buy a new home!! Soon, I hope!I can't wait! I will have so much fun decorating.
View from the balcony of Crystal Bridges Museum! Beautiful! I highly recommend a visit to the Museum in Bentonville, AR. Just got back from taking my Mom. She make it through just one of the five galleries. All of them free! Got to love FREE! Now that's a bargain. I will take her back to see one gallery at a time, if that is all she can do. We rested in coffee shop for a few minutes. I love the Salted Caramel Latte. We also had Ham & Cheese Croissants! The restaurant (Seven, that's the name) and coffee shop is all glass with a view surrounded by water.
Wabi Sabi!
Sounds like some restaurant where you order sushi, doesn't it? Google it! It's really Going GREEN. Don't throw things away because they are cracked or broken. Find the beauty ALL things! It's a way of life, to re-use or re-purpose useful items! I love this!
I recently found large pickle jars at a yard sale. How cute is the picture of pickle jars? So versatile! Store and display anything that will fit. I'm thinking...clothes pins, wine corks, candle holders (add sand in bottom and add a candle), kitchen canisters,
soaps in the bathroom and the list goes on!
I remember when I worked in a retail store and we would unpack merchandise. I was fascinated by by the packing material. It seemed such a waste to it away. I would have fun just thinking of ways it could be re-used. (We didn't have a recycle program back then. It was the age of waste! You know way back then! We would just send it to the dump!) Now we re-cycle, thank goodness!
Anyway, I am currently painting a bed that I found at the thrift store. It has a beautiful form! You know the type that has spindles, head and foot with the wooden side rails. It is an Ethan Allen solid maple bed. It even came with the slats! I got it for a steal! I'm sure you had one in your house when you were little.
I will post pictures later when I finish the bed. I forgot to take before pictures. I will try to remember for the next project.. But it is going to be SOOO CUTE!
I am in HOG heaven in NW Arkansas, doing what I LOVE! Wabi Sabi!

You Know ME!
Now that I have time on my hands, I prowl around a lot!
That is, I go exploring the area and find wonderful interesting stuff!
I love to shop, thrift shop that is! I have always loved a bargain!
I love to shop, thrift shop that is! I have always loved a bargain!
I consider it saving money, but mostly I just buy stuff that I don't really need!
And I love to cook!
I will be sharing some of my adventures in prowling and cooking and other stuff!
I hope you enjoy to prowling around with me!
